Hey man. You worked hard maintaining the software. Since it is so well known. You could leverage that to your advantage by adding it to resume. Of course, you probably have already done that. I never met somebody who regretted making their code open source like you. However, I have never maintained a large respiratory for people before. You never received very much gratitude for all your hard work. Instead, you received scorn from emails claiming it broke their machine and people asking you questions they could have googled. I doubt this will make much of a difference to you, but thanks for all your hard work.
