I'm not sure I need one, but I want one! My TV remote is a nightmare. I just want a small wireless keyboard. Is the small box on the photo the PC you're using? What brand and model is it?

Yes, it’s the AsRock DeskMini X300. I’m working on a review of it and my HTPC set up. Follow the blog for updates!

Wouldn't a Raspberry Pi with OpenElec or something similar work too? These, with fan, case and all cost less than $200 (maybe not now because of chip shortage, but in normal conditions).

It supports decoding baseline H.265 at 4K 60 Hz. That's fine if you only watch Netflix. However, it doesn't have the hardware to decode other codecs. Other media sources use a variety of codecs, and the limited hardware wouldn't be able to keep up with it.
